TheOpsDesk is written by Taha El Ghrib — Director of Operations at Cauridor, a cross-border remittance fintech operating across West, Central, and East Africa.

I manage payout operations across 15+ corridors and 20+ IMTO partners, leading a team of 20+ across reconciliation, settlement, and partner management. Before this, I spent six years at Al Barid Bank in Morocco and worked in financial control across the remittance space.

I started this site because most of what gets written about African fintech is from the outside — investment theses, market maps, macro narratives. Very little comes from the people actually running the operations. TheOpsDesk is where I write about what I see from the inside: what breaks, what scales, what tools hold up, and what decisions actually matter when you’re moving money across markets where nothing works out of the box.
